1 강조구문
1)It ...... that ---- 강조구문
:It is[was]........... that[사람:who, 사물:which, 때:when, 장소:where]--
사이에 주어, 목적어, 수식어구를 놓으면 강조가 됨
Tom used my computer here last night.

(중요)강조구문과 가주어구문의 구별
강조구문: It is[was]와 that을 제거한 나머지로 완전한 문장이 가능
가주어구문: ............................................................... 완전한 문장이 불가능
(It was) yesterday (that) he came to see me.
-->He came to see me yesterday.( O: 강조)
(It is) certain (that) he will succeed.
-->He will succeed certain.( X : 가주어)
2)어구사용 강조
(1)동사의 강조: do/does/did + 동.원 (정말, 꼭)
Do be quiet. She does love you.
(2)명사의 강조: 강조하는 말 바로 뒤나 문장의 끝둁 재귀대명사,
명사 바로 앞에 the very(직접, 바로)
I myself saw Mrs. Long.
He is the very man I have wanted to meet.
(3)의문사의 강조: 의문사 뒤에 on earth, in the world, ever를
사용(도대체, 대관절)
What on earth is the matter?
(4)부정어의 강조: 부정어가 있는 문장에 at all, in the least 등이
첨가(전혀)
He is not in the least worried.
2 도치: 주어+ 동사+ 목적어+ 보어+ 부사(구)의 어순이 바뀜
1)부사(구)의 도치
(1)부정부사(구)의 강조: 부정의 부사(구)+조동사(do/does/did)+S+V
I little dreamed that I would win the race.
-->Little did I dream that I ........................ .
(2)일반적 부사(구) 강조: 부사(구) + V +S(명사)
부사구+ 대명사S + V
Away ran the dog.( 명사주어)
Down he fell. (대명사주어)
2)So[Neither, Nor] + V+ S(...도 또한 그러하다)
긍정문 뒤: So + V+ S
부정문 뒤: Neither[Nor] +V +S
I went to Pusan last summer.
-- So did I. ( =I went to Pusan last summer, too.)
(주의) So+ V+S와 So+ S+ V의 구별
I worked very hard when young.
--So did I.(나도 그랬어) / So I did.(정말 그랬지)
I don't like meat.
--Neither do I.(=I don't like meat, either.)
3)There[Here] + V+ S(명사)
There[Here] +S(대명사) + V
Here are some apples. (명사주어)

3 생략: 글의 전후 관계로보아 이해에 지장을 주지 않을 때 일부를
빼서 간결하게 하는 것
1)반복어구의 생략: I prefer white wine to red (wine).
2)부사절의 <주어+ be동사> 생략: 때(when, while), 양보(though),
조건(if)을 나타내는 부사절에서 주로 생략
While( he was) reading a bok, he fell asleep.
3)비교구문의 than, as 뒤의 생략
She is taller than I (can).
4)인사말에서의 생략
(I) Thank you.
4 부정구문
1)부분부정, 전체부정
(1)부분부정: '모두 [둘 다, 항상, 완전히] ...하지는 않다.'
(2)전체부정: '모두 [둘 다, 항상, 완전히] ...하지 않다.'
Both his legs were not hurt.(부분부정)
Not either of his legs was hurt.(전체부정)
=Neither of his legs was hurt.( " )
부분부정: not all, not every, both not, not always

2)준부정어: few, little, seldom, hardly
She is seldom ill in bed.
3)관용적 부정어구
(1)can -- too ........ .: 아무리 ......해도 지나치지 않다
You cannot be too diligent.
(2)never[no, not] -- without ....: --하면 반드시 ...하다
They never meet without quarreling.
=Whenever they meet, they quarrel.
